robert's snow snowflake

I'm honored to once again participate in Robert's Snow, the fundraiser originally organized by Grace Lin and Robert Mercer for the Jimmy Fund. I finished my snowflake today... just in time. I wanted to tie it in the the Twelve Days of Wisconsin Christmas, I've noticed in the past that snowflakes tied to books often get higher bids. Hopefully it'll do well.

Great snowflake, Erin. I think would get a high bid even if it wasn't attached to a book!

Hi, Erin
What lovely work you do. I'm looking for an illustrator for a particular book that has a more painterly style. I really liked the piece of the Hawaiian women dancing, the one with the red background. Do you have any more samples in that styles? If so, I'd love to see them.

Hey Erin,
I've been meaning to write to you for ages--how are you?

Grace gave me your snowflake as a Christmas present! I love it. It's hanging in my workroom (which is in Mystic, CT -- I moved here about a year ago). I had wanted it, but wasn't able to buy ANY snowflakes this year. I am really thrilled to have it and I hope you are happy that it has gone to someone you know.

If you are ever in Mystic, or driving on 95 between NY and Boston (I am less than 5 minutes from 95) PLEASE STOP BY. I'd love to see you and meet your family! I often think of our fun talk on the way back from that awful conference.

Happy new year,
Libby
PS (to anyone who didn't see the snowflakes in person:) This one -- like most of them -- looks even more beautiful in real life than on the screen!
